This last appointment was the shortest one we’ve had so far. Adam and Eli flew down on a Tuesday afternoon, stayed the night in a hotel, went to a morning appointment, and were back home in HIllsboro by 5:30pm- a whirlwind! Typically, Eli has more than one appointment, which is why we end up staying longer, but this time it was just one.
Before this appointment, Eli has been treating or dosing for macadamia nut and donkey milk. Macadamia is the first food he’s dosed that he is anaphylactic to. It has been a very very slow build up, using their gummies for precise dosing, and the dosing actually continues through this next cycle. He challenged both denatured donkey milk and 200 ml of macadamia. The donkey milk went into maintenance and he is now dosing with sheep’s yogurt and the macadamia stays in dosing.
It was a whirlwind trip, but we were just happy to have them home so quickly so we could be together for New Year’s Eve!

Eli, you are doing great!! Love all the updates❤️😃
I love the new pose he’s adopted in these round of photos! Wow, thinking of the logistics for one appointment is crazy – maybe good that you usually have more than one appointment per trip? Also, though surely haven’t forgotten or taken for granted, but perhaps as the treatment has become part routine, a good reminder of your commitment and perseverance. Glad you all got to spend New Year’s together.
